Sick visits
Same-Day Sick Visits in Port St. Lucie, FL
Not feeling well? We can see you today.
A sore throat, sinus pressure that won't let up, a UTI, a stomach bug, a rash that appeared overnight. The things that can't wait a week for an appointment and don't belong in an emergency room.
Come in, or stay on the couch and see us by video. Either way you'll have time to explain what's going on, and your prescription goes to the pharmacy you already use.
We take insurance for sick visits. Paying yourself? It's $110, no matter what you come in with.

What we treat
What we can help with.
Everyday illnesses for kids and adults. If it turns out to be something bigger, we'll tell you and help you get to the right place.
Colds, flu, and COVID
Fever, cough, congestion, aches. We test when the result would change what we do about it.
Sinus and ear infections
That pressure behind your face that won't let up. We'll figure out whether it needs an antibiotic or just needs time.
Sore throat and strep
We'll swab for strep and find you something that makes swallowing bearable again.
Urinary tract infections
Burning, urgency, and that constant feeling that you need to go. We treat it quickly, and if they keep coming back, we'll look into why.
Rashes and skin problems
Hives, bites, reactions, and the spot that appeared overnight. A photo on a video visit is usually enough for us to help.
Stomach bugs
Nausea, vomiting, and cramping. We'll help you stay ahead of dehydration and tell you what would mean coming in to be seen.
Pricing
One price, whatever you come in with.
We bill insurance for sick visits. If you're uninsured, out of network, or you'd rather not use it, the self-pay price is one number no matter what brought you in.
Sick visit
$110
Same price whether you come in or do it by video. Sending your prescription doesn't cost extra.
What's included
The whole visit
The evaluation, the diagnosis, the plan, and your prescription. If you need a test or labs, the lab bills you for those separately.
Sick visits are also covered by the concierge membership, which is unlimited visits for one monthly fee. The membership isn't insurance, and membership visits aren't billed to insurance.
Good to know
What we want you to know going in.
- We aren't an emergency room. For chest pain, trouble breathing, severe abdominal pain, or signs of a stroke, please call 911 rather than booking with us.
- You might not need antibiotics. A lot of what we see is viral, and we'll always explain what we think is going on and how to feel better in the meantime.
- Video works for most of this. If we need to look at you in person, we'll tell you and find you a time.
- You don't have to be an existing patient. Many people meet us this way and stay with us for primary care afterward.
- Prescriptions go to your usual pharmacy, not through the mail. Nothing to wait on.
- If it turns out to be something ongoing, we can take care of it in primary care rather than sending you elsewhere.
How it works
How a same-day sick visit works.
Grab the first opening
In person or by video, your call. We keep same-day slots open for this whenever we can.
Tell us what's going on
What hurts, how long it's been going on, what you've already tried, and what makes it worse.
Get treated
A test if the result would change our plan, a prescription if you need one, and clear instructions for what to do at home.
Know what comes next
How long this should take to improve, and exactly what would mean calling us back.
Is this right for you
Is a sick visit the right appointment?
Book one if you
- Woke up sick and would like to be seen today
- Have a cold, sore throat, sinus infection, UTI, or a rash
- Want to be seen by a provider who takes the time to listen
- Need a prescription sent to your pharmacy today
- Are anywhere in Florida and would rather not leave the house
Another visit may suit you better if you
- Are having an emergency. Please call 911.
- Need ongoing care for something chronic. Primary care is the better fit.
- Need stitches, an X-ray, or something similar. Urgent care can take care of that faster.
- Are due for a physical or screening. That's a primary care visit.

Good to know
Questions, answered.
Can I really be seen today?
Usually. We hold openings every day for sick visits, in the office and by video. If today is full, we'll get you the next one and tell you what to do in the meantime.
Do you take insurance for sick visits?
Yes. Call or text 561-277-0936 with your plan details and we'll check your coverage before you book. If you're not using insurance, it's $110 flat.
Can a sick visit be done by video?
Most of the time, and honestly it's the better option when you feel awful. Sore throats, colds, urinary symptoms, rashes, and stomach bugs all work by video. If we need to look at you in person, we'll say so before we hang up.
Will I get antibiotics?
Only if they'll actually help. A lot of what people come in with is viral, and antibiotics do nothing for a virus except upset your stomach. Either way, you'll get a real explanation of what we think is going on.
Where does my prescription go?
Whatever pharmacy you already use. We send it during your visit, so it's usually ready by the time you get there.
Do you see kids for sick visits?
Yes, kids and adults. The family membership covers up to four people if your household tends to pass things around.
What if I need to cancel?
Give us 24 hours when you can. Late cancellations and no-shows may be charged a fee, since that slot could have gone to someone else who woke up feeling terrible.
