About Luma Family Health in Port St. Lucie, FL
Healthcare, the way it should feel.

Meet your provider
Cabrini Farano, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC
Founder, owner, and Family Nurse Practitioner
Cabrini grew up in waiting rooms. Her grandmother was sick through most of her childhood, and she spent those years at bedsides and alongside the nurses who came to the house. The medicine mattered. So did the kindness, and that's the part she still remembers most clearly. Her favorite author, Maya Angelou, spent a career on the same idea: people forget a great deal, but they remember how you made them feel.
More than fifteen years later, that's still the standard she holds herself to. She began in pediatric and adult intensive care and in emergency medicine, where you learn to stay steady when nothing else is. As a Family Nurse Practitioner she moved into family medicine, urgent care, and prevention, caring for patients at every age, with advanced training in medical weight management and hormone optimization.
She also spent five years as a clinical nurse educator, teaching in RN-to-BSN and nurse practitioner programs here in South Florida. It shows in the exam room. You'll hear the reasoning behind a plan, not just the plan.
Cabrini is a South Florida native, a wife, and a mother of three. She knows what it takes to fit your own health around work and school pickup, which is why flexible scheduling and real follow-up are built into how Luma runs rather than added on afterward.
Come as you are. We'll figure out the next step together.
Why Luma exists
Why Luma Family Health exists.
After years in emergency medicine, urgent care, and family practice, Cabrini kept running into the same limit. There was rarely enough time to hear the whole story, explain her reasoning, or follow up the way people deserved. Patients were asked to fit complicated concerns into short appointments, and they often left feeling like something had been missed.
Luma was built to take that limit away. Visits long enough to cover what you came in for, care you can reach in the office or by video, and follow-up that truly happens. Questions are always welcome here, and prevention gets as much attention as whatever brought you in.
It also means you'll never be made to feel bad here. Not about your weight, your mental health, your habits, or the years you went without seeing anyone. Most people who put off care aren't careless, they're busy, or they're bracing to be judged. You won't be.
Real people. Real life. Real care. The Luma promise

A little about the person behind the practice.
Cabrini and her husband are raising three kids in South Florida, and family is the center of their life, with faith and their church at the center of their home. Together they travel, swim, go to movies and concerts, and take a lot of trips to Disney. A favorite family day so far: swimming with manatees in Crystal River.
Art runs through the house, since her husband is a painter and aspiring tattoo artist, and they rarely miss a local art or community event. Every holiday season she bakes her grandmother's Italian cookies with her kids, from the recipe that got handed down to her.
