Peptide therapy
Peptide Therapy in Port St. Lucie, FL
An honest conversation about what peptides can and can't do.
You've probably heard about peptides from a podcast, a friend, or an ad that made them sound like the thing everyone else already knows about. Some of that is fair. Peptides are a real category of medicine, and a few of them are prescribed every day. A lot of what's being sold, though, has never been looked at properly in people, and some of it can't legally be prescribed at all.
So we start with a visit instead of a product. Cabrini goes through your history, your medications, and what you're actually hoping to change, then tells you honestly whether a peptide belongs in the plan. If one does, it's prescribed and filled by a licensed pharmacy. If one doesn't, you'll hear that too.
Everything starts with a consultation. Call or text and we'll tell you what that visit costs before you book. If a peptide is appropriate for you, we go over its cost before anything is prescribed.

The basics
What peptides actually are.
Before anything else, it helps to know what we're talking about, because the word gets used for a lot of different things.
They're messages, not stimulants
Peptides are short chains of amino acids, and your body already makes and uses them to carry signals between cells. The idea behind peptide therapy is to work with that signaling.
Some of them are real medicine
Several peptide medications are FDA approved and prescribed every day in ordinary practice. Peptides as a category aren't fringe, though plenty of what gets sold under the name is.
A lot of what's online isn't
Much of what you'll find for sale has never been evaluated for safety or effectiveness in people, and it's often labeled for research use only, which is its own kind of warning.
The rules keep moving
The FDA restricts which substances pharmacies may use in compounding, and peptides have been added to and moved around those lists more than once.
Where it comes from matters
A vial from a licensed compounding pharmacy is made for one patient under a prescription. A vial from a research supplier carries no promise about what's actually in it.
Whether it fits is about you
Your history, your medications, your labs, and what you're actually trying to change all decide whether a peptide belongs in the plan at all.
Pricing
What peptide therapy costs in Port St. Lucie.
You pay for the consultation, and that's the same whether or not you leave with a prescription. We'll tell you what it costs before you book.
Consultation
Quoted when you book
A full visit to go through your history, your medications, your goals, and whether a peptide is appropriate for you. Call or text 561-277-0936 and we'll give you the price up front. In the office or by video.
Medication and labs
Quoted at your visit
Cost depends on what's prescribed, and we go over it with you before you commit. If bloodwork is part of your evaluation, the lab bills you for that separately.
Peptide therapy is self-pay and isn't covered by insurance or the Luma membership. Compounded medications are not FDA approved as finished pharmaceutical products.
Good to know
What we want you to know going in.
- We only prescribe what can legally be prescribed. If a peptide can't be compounded under current FDA rules, we won't write for it, and we'll tell you why rather than leave you guessing.
- Compounded medications aren't FDA approved as finished products. They're prepared by a licensed pharmacy for one patient at a time, based on a prescription written after your evaluation.
- A consultation isn't a prescription. What you're paying for is a straight answer. Sometimes that answer is that a peptide isn't the right tool for what you're hoping to change.
- We won't oversell it. If what you read somewhere was overstated, we'll say so kindly, and we'll tell you what the evidence does and doesn't support.
- Nothing comes from a research supplier. Every medication we prescribe is filled by a licensed pharmacy. We can't use anything you bought online, though you're welcome to bring it in so we can talk about it.
- If you compete in a tested sport, please tell us before we start, and check your governing body's prohibited list. Some peptides are on it.
How it works
What peptide therapy looks like here.
Start with a visit
In our Port St. Lucie office or by video. Bring whatever you've been reading and whatever you're hoping for. Both are useful.
We look at the whole picture
Your history, your medications, your labs if we need them, and what you've already tried. No part of that is a formality.
You get a straight answer
Whether a peptide fits, which one is available to you, or that this isn't the right direction, along with the reasoning behind it.
If something is prescribed, we stay with it
A licensed pharmacy fills it, we go over how to use it, and we check in with you before each refill.

Good to know
Questions, answered.
What does the consultation cost?
Call or text 561-277-0936 and we'll tell you before you book. The visit covers a full review of your history, your medications, your goals, and whether a peptide makes sense for you. If something is prescribed, we go over what that costs before you commit to it.
Which peptides do you prescribe?
Only the ones that can legally be prescribed and compounded by a licensed pharmacy under current FDA rules. That list has changed more than once, so rather than publish one here that goes out of date, we go through what's actually available at your visit.
Why can't I get the one I read about?
The FDA limits which substances compounding pharmacies are allowed to use, and several of the peptides people hear about fall outside that. If yours is one of them, we'll tell you plainly and talk about what else might help.
Are peptides FDA approved?
Some peptide medications are, and they're prescribed every day. Many of the ones marketed online are not. Anything compounded hasn't been reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality, and we'll be clear about which category yours falls into before you start.
I already bought peptides online. Can you look at them?
Please bring them with you. We can't prescribe or administer anything that didn't come from a licensed pharmacy, but we can talk honestly about what you have, what's known about it, and what we'd worry about.
Will I definitely leave with a prescription?
Not necessarily, and we want to be upfront about that. Whether a peptide is appropriate is a clinical decision made at your visit, and sometimes the honest answer is that it isn't the right tool for what you're after.
Do I have to come into the office?
Not for the consultation. You're welcome at our Port St. Lucie office, and video visits work from anywhere in Florida.
Can I use insurance or my membership?
No. Peptide therapy is self-pay, and it isn't part of the Luma membership.
